Activity Data: Matches played, availability, messages, ratings
Device Information: Browser type, IP address, device identifiers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and improve the Service
Match you with other players
Send notifications about matches and messages
Communicate with you about updates and features
Ensure safety and prevent fraud
Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience

3. Phone Number & SMS Communications

If you provide your phone number, we use it for:

Account Verification: To verify your identity during signup and login via one-time passcode (OTP)
Match Notifications: Score confirmations, match reminders, match requests, and cancellations
Account Alerts: Security-related notices and important account updates

Your consent is required. We will only send SMS messages if you explicitly opt in during signup or in your notification settings. You can opt out at any time by:

Visiting your Notification Settings in the app

Reply HELP to any message for support information. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your activity.

We do not share, sell, or rent your phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third parties for their marketing purposes. Your phone number is only shared with our SMS service provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering messages on our behalf.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information in the following ways:

With Other Users: Your profile information is visible to other users to facilitate matches
Service Providers: We use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and email (Supabase, Vercel)
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Location Data

We collect and use location data to show you nearby players and courts. You can control location sharing through your device settings. Note that some features may be limited without location access.

9. Health & Fitness Data

With your explicit permission, RallyWith.io can read fitness data from your device's health platform — Health Connect on Android and Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS — to enrich your matches and profile. This access is always opt-in and can be revoked at any time.

What we access. Only the data you grant, which may include:

Exercise / workout sessions (including from the RallyWith wearable app)
Heart rate
Steps

How we use it. We use this data solely to attach workout stats (such as active duration, calories, and heart-rate range) to the matches you play and to show fitness insights on your own profile. It is processed only to provide these features to you.

We do not use health or fitness data for advertising, and we never sell it. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. It is stored securely and used only to deliver the features described above.

Retention & deletion. Health and fitness data is retained only as long as needed to provide these features. It is permanently deleted when you delete your account, and removed from our systems if you revoke access.

How to revoke access. You can turn off health-data sharing at any time without deleting your account:

Android: Open the Health Connect app (or Settings → Security & privacy → Health Connect), select RallyWith, and turn off permissions.
iOS: Open the Apple Health app → Sharing → Apps → RallyWith, and turn off the categories you no longer wish to share.

Revoking access stops future reads; previously stored data is deleted with your account or upon request.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

11. Children's Privacy

RallyWith.io is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
